Board Member

Mgalla Mgini is an entrepreneur and social development practitioner with extensive experience in youth empowerment, community engagement, and education programming. With a strong background in Project Planning and Management she previously served as a Program Manager at Tanzania Early Childhood Education and Care (TECEC) and has worked with organizations including, Baraka Goodhope Orphans Development, Uwezo Tanzania, and Restless Development. Her work has focused on advancing early childhood development, youth entrepreneurship and community mobilization.

In addition to her entrepreneurial work, she co-hosts ‘Girls Code’ on Star TV Tanzania, a program that promotes economic empowerment, self-awareness, mental health awareness, relationships, and personal development among girls and young women.

Mgalla is an alumna of the Youth Leadership Program (Cohort 1), a program implemented by Hakizetu in partnership with Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) and the Mastercard Foundation.
