Meet Engineer Balbina Andrew, a dedicated environmental activist and board member at Hakizetu. As the Founder and Executive Director of Nourish Africa, she leads efforts to promote sustainable development by working with local communities and the government. Her focus is on educating people about effective land management and the importance of planting trees to fight climate change. For her, trees are key to improving soil fertility, providing clean water, and protecting biodiversity.

Balbina’s motto, “Trees for Wealth, Trees for Health,” highlights the connection between environmental care and community well-being. With her background as a Mechanical Engineer, she brings technical expertise to her advocacy. She’s also a strong advocate for women and girls, ensuring their voices are represented on the board.
