He holds a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Philosophy from the <em>University of Dodoma (UDOM)<\/em> and a Master&#8217;s Degree in Gender Studies from the <em>Open University of Tanzania (OUT)<\/em>.<\/p><p>As a <em>Mandela Washington Fellow<\/em>, <em>Acumen Fellow<\/em>, <em>YALI Alumni<\/em>, and <em>Africa Visionary Fellow<\/em>, Gervas has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable women and girls. His efforts have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the <em>YALI East Africa Award<\/em> for his contributions to enhancing the livelihoods of vulnerable women and girls, and the <em>Africa Philanthropy Award<\/em> for supporting women and girls to recover from the economic challenges of COVID-19.<\/p><p>Gervas has served on various national and international development boards and professional committees, contributing his expertise in leadership and gender issues.
