In our dedication to rebuilding lives shattered by Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Hakizetu extends a compassionate hand through our Survivors of GBV Family Support program. Recognizing that a child’s health is intricately linked to their educational journey, we prioritize health and educational support for Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) and their households
Hakizetu’s health interventions encompass a spectrum of support, ensuring the well-being of MVC and their families. Our initiatives include participation in the Improved Community Health Fund Insurance Scheme, National Health Insurance Fund, and the Sexual and Reproductive Health Initiative. Beyond insurance, we provide essential nutritional support, distribute sanitary pads, and offer vital psychosocial assistance.

Education is a cornerstone of empowerment. Hakizetu walks alongside the most vulnerable children, providing a pathway to knowledge through the provision of scholastic materials, covering tuition fees, and supporting additional classes when needed. This holistic approach recognizes that a well-nourished mind is fundamental to academic success.
Hakizetu acknowledges the critical role nutrition plays in a child’s growth. For those grappling with common diseases, including HIV, we provide targeted nutrition support. Our focus extends beyond immediate relief, encompassing sustainable solutions such as household-based agricultural production. We equip families and communities with skills and inputs to ensure sustainable food access.
Beyond immediate health and education needs, Hakizetu empowers MVC families economically. Through comprehensive training on income-generating activities, we provide seed capital and soft loans to establish Saving and Loaning groups. This multifaceted approach aims not only to alleviate immediate economic vulnerabilities but also to create sustained income generation opportunities.
Hakizetu believes in building resilience together. By addressing the interconnected challenges of health, education, nutrition, and economic stability, we pave the way for families to overcome adversity. Together, we strive for a future where every child is not only safe and healthy but also equipped with the tools to thrive and reach their full potential.
Hakizetu is a non-governmental organization committed to fostering comprehensive transformation in the lives of young women and youth in Tanzania
